Firstly in the history of the city during the religious procession will be carried the Greek shrine — icon of Panagia Sumela (Παναγία Σουμελά), which was specially brought from Greece.
The procession will pass along Nevsky Prospekt from the Kazan Cathedral to the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, where are relics of the holy prince and where will be exposed an icon of Panagia Sumela till September, 18.
We invite all Greeks of Saint Petersburg to take part in the procession. Gathering will take place at 9.00 at the Kazan Cathedral and the beginning of the procession at 10.30.
